Who Is Erin Carter? is a British action crime thriller that premiered on Netflix on August 24, 2023. The plot follows Erin, an English woman living a luxurious existence in Barcelona. When Erin is suddenly caught in a deadly supermarket robbery, she springs into violent action and takes the criminals out, much to the shock and awe of her young daughter, Harper.

Evin Ahmad as Erin Carter
Evin Ahmad plays the title character, Erin Carter. Erin is a British substitute schoolteacher living in Barcelona with her husband Jordi and their 10-year-old daughter, Harper. When Erin thwarts a violent supermarket robbery one day, glimpses of her mysterious past are hinted at. Although her true identity gradually comes to light as the series unfolds, Erin remains dedicated to keeping her family together and her daughter free from harm.

Ahmad is a Swedish actor who began her career in 2007, when she first appeared on screen in the movie Ett öga rött. Landing the leading role, the adaptation of Jonas Hassen Khemiris's novel kicked off Ahmad's career. One of her most notable movie credits includes Beyond Dreams, which is a 2017 drama film by Rojda Sekersöz. In the movie, Ahmad stepped into the role of a young woman called Mirja, who struggles to find her feet after serving time in jail, and rapidly falls back into old habits.
Back then, she had already proven that she has the skills to portray such an intense role, showing her talent when it comes to tougher topics amid the portrayal of a double life. The movie even landed her a Guldbagge nomination for Best Actress. However, chances are, most viewers will recall seeing Ahmed on several TV shows. Since 2019, Ahmad has participated in The Restaurant, The Rain, Max Anger - With One Eye Open, and Snabba Cash. The latter is a Swedish thriller series, which marked an important point in her career, opening the doors to agents in the United States.

Ahmad can be seen next in Den of Thieves 2: Pantera, which is an action sequel that is perfectly suited to her skills based on her performance in Who Is Erin Carter?. Gerard Butler and O'Shea Jackson Jr. join Ahmad, who will portray the role of Jovanna, in front of the cameras, and will likely deliver an impressive action film in 2024.
Sean Teale as Jordi Collantes
Sean Teale plays Jordi Collantes in the must-see thriller miniseries. Jordi is Erin's caring and compassionate husband and Harper's protective guardian. Whether making breakfast at home or tending to his patients at work as an ER nurse, Jordi is a kind man who gains genuine pleasure in nurturing others. At first, it's unclear whether Jordi knows about Erin's cryptic past. Over time, hints regarding Jordi's knowledge also come to light.

Teale is an English actor who scored his breakout role in the British teen drama Skins, which is a drama TV series following a group of teenagers learning about love, life, and relationships. Since then, Teale has played recurring characters in such TV shows as Mr. Selfridge, Incorporated, and Reign. His most prominent TV character to date, however, remains Marco Diaz on the Marvel series The Gifted.
In 2022, Teale also appeared in the 2022 Hulu original movie Rosaline. The romantic comedy movie takes the widely known story of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet", but focuses on Romeo's ex-girlfriend and Juliet's cousin, Rosaline, and how the heartbroken woman might get her loved one back. Teale is set to appear in the rom-com Mother of the Bride, which focuses on a planned marriage tainted by complicated relationships. Additionally, the actor is lending his voice to Toro in the upcoming animation Bear Grylls Young Adventurer: Endangered as well as Bear Grylls Young Adventurer: Icebreaker, which are already in post-production.

Indica Watson as Harper Carter
Indica Watson depicts Harper, the precocious 10-year-old daughter of Erin and Jordi. Harper was living an idyllic life near Barcelona until her mother gained national attention for violently halting grocery store thieves. Once Erin's mysterious past comes back to haunt her, Harper, who is smart, sweet-natured, and obedient, becomes endangered in ways that raise the dramatic stakes of the series.

Watson is an English actress who got her acting start in the acclaimed British crime series The Missing. She immediately followed up by playing Eurus Holmes opposite Benedict Cumberbatch in Sherlock. Since then, Watson has played recurring characters on the Fox drama Deep State and the thriller miniseries Gold Digger. In 2021, Watson starred in the feature films, including The Laureate and A Boy Called Christmas, and also appeared in the 2022 horror TV series The Midwich Cuckoos, which landed her a nomination for the Young Artist Awards in the category Best Performance in a Streaming Service: Supporting Young Actress.

Denise Gough as Lena Campbell
Denise Gough appears as Lena Campbell on the acclaimed Netflix limited series. Lena is a woman who has mysterious ties to Erin's past, which are kept under wraps for much of the story. Over time, Lena is revealed to be the biological mother of Harper, who is introduced as Erin and Jordi's child. It's through Lena's character that viewers fill in on Erin's shady past relating to a man named Thomas Ramsay and a crime known as the Harwich Job.

Gough is an Irish actress who has built an impressive filmography since 2004. Her most prominent movies include Ridley Scott's Robin Hood, the action-thriller '71, and Joe Cornish's The Kid Who Would Be King. On television, Gough continues to make her mark after starring in Hulu's Under the Banner of Heaven and the Disney+ series Andor.
Gough is also known for her role in the thriller TV mini-series Too Close, which dives into the mind of a woman who is accused of a crime but allegedly struggles with memory loss. Embodying the role of the main character in such a believable, heart-breaking, and shocking way, Gough was nominated for a BAFTA TV Award. Douglas Henshall as Daniel Lang
Douglas Henshall portrays Daniel Lang. Daniel is a wealthy businessperson in Barcelona who meets Erin at the school where she works. Daniel is the father of Dylan Lang, a disobedient classmate of Harper who attends Erin's history class. While Daniel and Erin start off on rocky footing, Daniel begins to respect Erin when she informs him of Dylan's classroom struggles. Over time, Erin and Daniel become closer.

Henshall's most notable big-screen credits include starring in Angels and Insects, Kull the Conqueror, and Dorian Gray. On the small screen, Henshall's biggest standout roles include playing Nick Cutter in Primeval, and Jimmy Perez on the British detective series Shetland. Henshall is currently a part of two projects, which are both already in post-production. One of them is Stefan van de Graaff's horror movie One of Us, which tells the story of mysterious family deaths at a funeral. The other is a thriller called Murder is Easy, and focuses on the electrifying story of a serial killer hunt.

Pep Ambròs as Emilio Martin
Pep Ambròs plays Emilio Martin on the must-watch detective crime show. Emilio is a local police detective in Barcelona. Due to having a past relationship with his neighbor Erin and best friend Jordi, Emilio is willing to bend the law to keep her out of trouble following her supermarket assault, including destroying the video evidence captured in the market. Susannah Fielding as Olivia Thorne
Susannah Fielding portrays Olivia Thorne. Olivia is the school administrator at the secondary school where Erin works as a substitute history teacher. Armed with a cheeky wit, Olivia becomes Erin's friend and often adds comic relief by commenting on Erin's tumultuous life. Despite her dry humor, Erin learns to trust and confide in Olivia as the series progresses.

Fielding is an English actress with over 60 screen credits. Although she has appeared in everything from Black Mirror to Doctor Who, Fielding has made her presence felt most in comedy projects, making her an ideal fit for the role of Olivia. To wit, Fielding's most famous credits include the CBS sitcom The Great Indoors, and the British comedy series This Time with Alan Partridge. Penelope is the wealthy, elegant, and slightly snobby neighbor of Erin and Jordi who often spends time sipping wine with her girlfriends. Like many characters on the show, Penelope knows far more about Erin's past than she initially lets on, slowly divulging buried secrets to the audience as time goes on. Whether Penelope can be trusted adds tension and suspense to the underlying mystery.
Vega is a Spanish actress from Madrid who began her career in the 2012 zombie movie REC 3: Genesis. Her most prominent movies include the remake of Wrong Turn, The Lodgers, and American Assassin. While Vega has also appeared in such TV shows as Velvet, Warrior Nun, and The Refugees, her most significant small-screen role came in the Spanish romance adventure series El secreto de Puente Viejo. Vega's next project is a thriller TV series called The Castaways, which is currently in post-production, and tells the story of a mysterious disappearance of a plane. Vega will embody the role of Amber, and while not much is known about her character yet, there is no doubt that Vega will deliver a great performance with authentic emotions and a good amount of baffling action.

Núria Deulofeu as Ana Martin
Núria Deulofeu portrays Ana Martin, Emilio's estranged wife, and Erin's next-door neighbor. The longer Ana remains away from Emilio, the more he struggles to maintain his happiness and quality of detective work. Therefore, Ana's absence is just as important to the story as her presence. Erin informs Harper that Emilio still cares for Ana, which explains why he'd rather sleep in his car than their old bed.
Deulofeu hails from Barcelona and lends a level of authenticity to her character as Ana that helps to make the overall story more convincing. Although she appears in half of the episodes of Who Is Erin Carter?, fans may recall seeing Deulofeu in such Spanish TV series as La Riera, Haciendo Cerveza, and Buga Buga. As of right now, Deulofeu has no upcoming projects, but considering her talent, she undoubtedly will be back on the screen sooner rather than later.

Andy Lucas as Inspector Tabarez
Andy Lucas portrays Inspector Tabarez in the stellar British 2020s miniseries. Tabarez is Emilio's boss and the chief investigator assigned to Erin's supermarket massacre. Tabarez is a gruff, take-no-nonsense veteran who interrogates Erin following the inciting event and often clashes with Emilio's way of working. Despite his position of authority, Tabarez appears to be more untrustworthy as the story advances.
Lucas is a veteran British character actor who has appeared in many popular movies and TV shows. Aside from several brief TV appearances, Lucas has participated in popular movies like Sexy Beast, Alien vs. Predator, The Commuter, and How to Lose Friends and Alienate People. Despite appearing in 4 of 6 episodes of Who Is Erin Carter?, due to his incredible skills at conveying emotions and finding his way into the mind of his character, Lucas's intense screen presence is hard to forget. There isn't much information about his next project, a drama called Swim, but it is already in post-production, meaning it could be released sometime in 2024.
